If you have ever wondered what your listening habits have been in the past year then Spotify Wrapped has the answer.
Released annually, it gives users of the streaming service an overview of just what has been on their speakers and in their headphones throughout the year.
The big reveal has been going on since 2016, and this year will be no exception with Spotify already gearing up for the launch on its website.
Here we unwrap the details of what you get on the Spotify package and when you you can expect delivery.
What is Spotify Wrapped?
Spotify Wrapped is a compilation of listening data for subscribers to the streaming service. It provides a summary of the audio habits of users on that platform and then invites them to share it on social media.
Typically, it will include how many minutes of listening a subscriber has done on Spotify in total, who their favourite artists have been across the past year, and the genres of music they prefer.
Spotify Wrapped also includes information about activity across the platform as a whole, revealing what have been the listening trends for the year, from most-streamed artist and song to top global albums and podcasts.
When is Spotify Wrapped 2023 due out?
Spotify stops collecting data on users listening habits on 31 October, so the overview doesn’t actually include a full year of audio information.
Previously, the launch date for Spotify Wrapped has been around the end of November or beginning of December. In 2022, it came out on Wednesday 30 November.
There has been no indication from Spotify yet about this year’s release date.
However, on the Spotify for Artists page, the streaming service advises recording artists to get a video ready by 15 November to be featured in their top fans’ 2023 Wrapped experience on Spotify, which would suggest the big reveal is not far off.
